A corporate travel management platform for Hong Ngoc Ha Travel’s enterprise clients.
This platform helps centralize bookings, approvals, and expenses flows. Making business trip more efficient and cost-effective.
Context and Problems
Existing operations at Hong Ngoc Ha Travel were managed via Excel and a basic tour management tools and email. This led to:
- Fragmented workflows.
- Heavy manual workload.
- Manual communication to confirm or adjust.
- Limited cost control.
Target users:
- Hong Ngoc Ha Travel’s Staff (Internal Ops)
Work with multiple booking systems (flights, hotels, transport, etc.) to support corporate employees.
- Enterprise managers (Corporate)
Control budgets, approvals, and reporting across departments.
- Employees (End users)
Manage their own trips, itineraries, and expense documentation.
My Role
Product designer (end-to-end in the early stage). BA support.
What I do:
- Requirement gathering, stakeholder workshops, research, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, UI design, and handoff.
- Work directly with Hong Ngoc Ha Travel’s BOD, Product Director, BA, development team
- Took full ownership of UI/UX decisions within project scope.
Solution / Deliverables
- Booking management (flights, hotels, restaurants, transport).
- Approval workflows tied to budgets, levels, and departments.
- Expense & receipt management.
- Centralized dashboards for managers.
- Multi-role access: Staff (Internal Ops), Manager (Corporate), Employee (End-user).
Impact / Outcomes
Projected outcomes:
- Reduce manual workload for staff by ~40–50%.
- Centralize cost management for enterprises, improving budget control.
- Reduce dependency on support by enabling employees to self-manage.
Challenges & Learnings
- Stakeholder resistance: many proposals were rejected due to preference for old systems.
- Learned to balance innovation with stakeholder expectations in a conservative enterprise environment.
